Wednesday April 3 - Massacre Grounds with Katie

Meet in parking lot at 7:15 a.m., leave at 7:30 a.m. $3.00 ride-along
Difficulty - moderate; Length - 5.3 miles in an out; Total Ascent - 1094 ft.
No restrooms
Hwy 88 to First Water Rd., park at Crosscut Trailhead. Take the trail on the left
coming out of the wash. Follow cairns to Massacre Grounds Trail #28.
Hedgehog cacti should be in bloom.

Friday April 5 - Deer Creek (Payson) with George
Meet in parking lot at 7:45 a.m. leave at 8:00 a.m. $5.00 ride-along
Difficulty - easy; Length - 6 miles in and out; Total Ascent - 680 ft.
No restrooms
67 miles north on Hwy. 87 to intersection of Hwy. 188; signpost for Deer Creek Trail;
trail on left side of road; parking for 10 vehicles. Hike begins on Trail #45 on the ridge
and goes down to Deer Creek and follows along creek. Well-marked trail 1 mile from
parking area; deciduous trees; 50 ft. beyond grave site is perfect spot for snack and
rest; large spot with flat rocks beside creek

next season. Information is available from George and Tony, and I also have a copy of the
package if you want to have a look at it before I leave next week.
