Brownies

1/3 Cup Butter
2 sqrs Unsweetened Chocolate
  • o Preheat oven to 350 F (177 C)
    o Prepare a greased 8" x 8" pan. Optional - line with parchment paper.
    o Melt butter and chocolate together over hot water.

2 - Eggs
1 Cup Sugar
  • o Beat eggs well.
    o Gradually add sugar to eggs while continuing to mix.
    o Blend in chocolate and butter mixture.

2/3 Cup Sifted all purpose flour.
1/2 Tsp. baking powder.
1/4 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Chopped walnuts - Optional.
1 Tsp. Vanilla
  • o Shift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    o Add dry ingredients to chocolate mixture.
    o Add walnuts and vanilla
    o Pour into 8" x 8" pan and spread evenly. Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes.
    o Cool in pan. Ice if desired.

Yield: 16 2-inch square pieces.
Comments: Try spreading miniature marshmallows on top as soon as taken out of oven. Cover with tinfoil to melt. Drizzle with melted chocolate.
